New Easter inspired nail tutorial up on youtube :)

New Nail Tutorial?….I Think So :)

This is my attempt at re-creating a design that I found online a while ago, here’s the original picture….

and here’s my finished nails…

Excuse my messy edges, I find that if I go in with nail polish remover and a Q-tip I usually end up slipping and removing half of the design, so I just wait until I take a shower to pick off all the edges.

Alright, to begin, I used the same black, yellow, and orange that I used in my last tutorial (H&M’s Black is Back, Summer Sunrise, & OPI’s Hot & Spicy), the only color that’s different is the red, which is Color So Hot It Berns from OPI (below)

 (Naked nails, OH NO!!!)

Alright, to get the colors to really look like they’re blending into one another I used a little piece of an old sponge that I dipped into the polish and used tweezers to hold the piece and stipple it onto my nail.

So start off by painting your nails yellow….

Then use a piece of any sponge to stipple on orange, don’t go all the way up to where you’re covering up the yellow, and try to add a gradient….

then do the same with the red and make sure not to cover the orange….

Now, you can leave your nails like this, I just thought putting a black design over it would make the colors blend nicely, I don’t have a black crackle so I just did the same design as the one in the original photo and then I added a layer of top coat. There you go, gradient nails made easy.
